Light and medium chemical peels use an acid to exfoliate the skins top layers. This removes dead and damaged cells, promoting the regeneration of healthier skin. The acid causes controlled damage to the skin's outer layers, forcing them to shed revealing smoother, more evenly toned skin underneath. Chemical peel treatment is often used to address issues like wrinkles, acne, and sun damage.

PDRN is a naturally occurring DNA fragment polymer extracted from salmon or trout sperm. It is used in regenerative medicine, aesthetic medicine, and wound healing because it activates cell repair and regenerative processes in the body. Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure that involves microinjections of PC/DC (Phosphatidylcholine and Deoxycholic acid) into small, localized pockets of fat that are typically hard to lose (i.e. bra strap region). Deoxycholic acid essentially dissolves fat cells. Commonly treated areas include the abdomen, back flanks, the chin and submental regions, the jowl area, arms, saddlebags, and inner thighs. Although PC/DC is FDA-approved, it is not approved for mesotherapy. However, mesotherapy has been performed safely in Europe for several decades with good results. It is nonsurgical and results are noticeable after 2-3 treatments. Optimal results are usually after 4-10 treatments every 2-3 weeks. Mesotherapy lipolysis is an effective and affordable treatment with a high rate of patient satisfaction.

Kybella is FDA-approved injections of deoxycholic acid into the collection of fat cells in the submental and “double chin” region. It typically requires 3-6 treatments separated by 4-6wks, with noticeable results starting after the 2^nd or 3^rd treatment. Historically it has a high rate of patient satisfaction.

There are several variants of botulinum toxin on the market today. They are typically referred to as Botox (the original FDA-approved botulinum toxin injectable). Neurotoxins are injected in controlled small doses into muscles of the face to reduce or eliminate dynamic wrinkles. Botulimun toxin is a muscle paralytic that temporarily paralyzes the muscles that it is injected into. There are multiple brands that are currently FDA-approved. Our personal favorite brand is Letybo and we usually keep it in stock. It is the most recent FDA-approved brand. However, it has been the most used brand in South Korea over the last 10 years. Renew has had great success with Letybo because its onset is usually 3-4 day (quicker than other brands) and lasts 3-4 months which is typical of the entire class of products. Letybo is also more affordable than other brands. The most common areas treated include the forehead, the glabellar line (11’s), and crow’s feet. Other common treatments include the “lip flip”, platysma (neck) band relaxation, and reduction of a downturned smile. We offer any other brand (i.e. Botox, Dysport) but we order them as we need it.

Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers are crosslinked hyaluronic acid gels typically injected into the soft tissues of the face to restore volume, smooth lines and folds, and enhance facial contour. The volume of filler injected adds immediate volume and draws in and binds water helping the skin to appear plumper and hydrated. There are multiple brands with multiple properties that differ based on the area of the face they are intended for and the desired effect. Common areas injected include the nasolabial folds, marionette lines, temples, under-eyes, cheeks, and hands. Lip filler injections are also quite popular with most clients requesting subtle enhancements and others requesting noticeable augmentation. Hyaluronic acid fillers are metabolized by the body and therefore their volumizing effects are temporary, lasting 6-12 months at most. Unwanted HA filler volume can be dissolved with an injectable enzyme (Hyaluronidase). Renew Aesthetics and Wellness offer the brands Restylane, Juvéderm, and Belotero.

Biostimulant filler injections currently include Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) name brand Sculptra or Calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) name brand Radiesse. They are most used for facial enhancement but may also be used for body contouring. When injected into areas of the face they add volume and trigger tissue remodeling so the body builds new collagen and elastin. Recommended to be injected into areas of facial volume loss and fat atrophy such as the cheeks, temples, and midface.

When used for body contouring, they are hyper diluted and injected to add focal volume enhancement to body areas such as the arms, thighs, and buttocks. Injecting these products will add some mild immediate results, but moreover, they stimulate the body’s own production of collagen and elastin making the skin appear tighter and firmer. Multiple treatments are required for optimal results, but this depends on the individual and the area treated.

Cosmetic Sclerotherapy is the injection of small amounts of solution into varicose and spider veins to reduce and eliminate them. The “sclerosing” solution injected which irritates the vein walls causing it to collapse and stick together on the inside. Visible veins give the impression of advanced age and poor health. Renew Aesthetics and Wellness uses only FDA approved solutions for this procedure (Sodium Tetradecyl Sulfate (Sotradecol) and Polidocanol (Asclera).
